Moppet Dolls are inspired by a photograph collection of little girls from a bygone era. 

The dolls are made with a special linen/hemp blend fabric that has a very sturdy, vintage feel. The body is stuffed with Canadian wool and the arms are button jointed with antique mother-of-pearl buttons. 

I’ve made their clothing from precious cotton & linen scraps from my own handmade wardrobe, while the shoes are painted and distressed to evoke a time-worn feeling.

The Moppets all have soft handmade mohair wigs and gently embroidered faces. Finally, their cheeks are blushed with artist's pastels and a label of authenticity is stitched in place.

Every doll is hand made by me in my studio with love and under a scrupulous eye. I use carefully selected new & antique materials of the highest quality. My process ensures each doll is one of a kind and will be a cherished friend for years to come.
